The Greens Group Welcomes the UK–India CETA Coming into Effect

15 July 2026 marks a significant milestone in UK–India relations as the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) officially comes into effect, paving the way for stronger trade, increased investment, and enhanced collaboration between the two nations.

Ahead of this milestone, Greens was proud to be part of the Indian industry delegation that participated in the Government-to-Business (G2B) engagements held on 25th and 26th June 2026 during the official UK visit of Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, Piyush Goyal. The engagements brought together government representatives and business leaders to discuss the opportunities that the UK–India CETA will create for trade, investment, innovation, and long-term economic cooperation.

With an established presence in both the United Kingdom and India, we welcome the agreement and the opportunities it presents to strengthen cross-border partnerships and support sustainable industrial growth.

We congratulate everyone whose dedication and collaboration have made this landmark agreement a reality and look forward to contributing to the next chapter of the UK–India economic partnership.
